Updating Feature Data
War Room Applet lets you update information about the chokepoints that are displayed on the map. You can update the ownership, or enter intelligence information about the chokepoint.
Intelligence Information
To update intelligence information, just type into the space provided. This is best used for current, short term information about a CP ("Under heavy attack" or "Heavy defense encountered") since it will be displayed for two hours. When a CP has intelligence information, it is displayed with a little text-bubble icon.
Chokepoint Ownership
The CP ownership information displayed in War Room Applet is updated from in-game data every five minutes. You see this information as it is updated when War Room Applet is displaying the current time. Ordinarily, therefore, there is not much reason to use War Room Applet to update the ownership information. On the other hand, if you are planning an operation, you may want to set CP ownerships to reflect what you think they will be at the time of the operation. You can do this by selecting the CP, and then selecting the flag and the contested status it is supposed to have.
 | If you are changing CP ownership to set up the scenario for an operation, please make sure that you have set the time either to the future time of the operation or to a time before January 2002, so you do not alter the historical record of the war in the War Room Applet database. |
